What do I think?
In my own experience, I have a very slight preference towards e-books over print books. I am fully understand the magic I feel when reading from a physical book where I can hear the page rustle every time I turn it. I love having those few pages that are extra worn out because I turned to them on more than one occasion to keep rereading my absolute favorite part. I know that a cover, font, and type of page texture all contribute to the overall experience of enjoying a book.
However, at the end of the day, it is still about the actual content of the story, and e-books do not alter or change any of that. For me, it is mainly about its convenience. When I am flying somewhere and I would like to read during my flight, it is much easier to pull out a Kindle with a dozen of pre-loaded books on it, rather than haul five printed books of all difference sizes with me. Before e-books, I always lose or misplace my books. I like that all my e-books are in one place, and I can keep track of them. |
